Africa Digital Media Institute

For parents · September 2026 intake

Beyond KUCCPS, a future worth backing.

A KUCCPS letter is one door, not the only one. If your child is drawn to film, design, sound, animation or digital media, ADMI offers a direct, recognised path into a real creative career, admitting students on their own merit.

Creative media is too often misjudged as a soft option. The reality is very different.

The people who shoot the adverts, design the brands, score the films and build the content your family watches every day trained for it. Creative media is one of Africa's fastest-growing industries, and it rewards discipline, craft and professionalism, not luck. Missing a placement is not a verdict on your child's potential, and choosing a creative path is not settling.

The change parents notice

We would rather show you than promise you.

We will not promise you a job title or a salary. What we can point to is the change families tell us they see. Again and again, parents say their child comes home more passionate, more driven, and clearer about their purpose than they have ever been.

You do not have to take our word for it. Parents have shared their own stories, in their own words, about the transformation they have seen in their children at ADMI.

What we hear from parents

The questions worth asking, answered plainly.

You are the one who will help make this decision, and often the one who pays for it. Here is where families usually pause, and where we can reassure you.

Is this a serious path?

A real industry, not a fallback.

Film, design, sound, animation and digital media are among the fastest-growing sectors in Kenya and across Africa. ADMI trains for genuine, in-demand careers, with a structured curriculum, professional standards and real accountability, not a hobby dressed up as a course.

Is it a real qualification?

Recognised, not just a certificate on the wall.

ADMI qualifications carry European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits through our partnership with Woolf (MFHEA-licensed), recognised internationally, and ADMI is TVETA (Kenya) registered. Those credits can progress towards further study.

Will it lead to work?

Built around the work, not just the theory.

Students train on industry-standard equipment, build a real portfolio, and learn through live projects and internships with ADMI's industry partners. 88% of graduates are employed within six months of completing their programme.

Can we afford it?

Clear fees, with room to plan.

ADMI publishes a clear fee schedule and offers flexible payment plans and a limited number of partial scholarships each intake, based on need and merit. Our admissions team will walk you through the options honestly, with no pressure.

Not just a school, a community

Education is a family affair. You stay part of it.

In Africa, education is a family affair. Parents and siblings are so often the sponsors and the support system, and they deserve to be part of the whole journey, not just the day their child is accepted. ADMI is not just a school; it is a community. Through the ADMI parents portal you can follow progress, attendance, fees and milestones, and stay close every step of the way.

And every term we host a Parents' Appreciation Day, an open invitation to hear from us, see the work for yourself, and meet the faculty mentoring your child alongside the industry professionals who shape our programmes.

Parents' questions

The honest answers.

Is creative media a serious career, or just a fallback?+
It is a serious, fast-growing industry. Film, design, sound, animation and digital content power everything from advertising and television to global streaming and brands. These are skilled, in-demand professions, and ADMI trains students to professional standards for them.
Is an ADMI qualification actually recognised?+
Yes. ADMI programmes carry European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits through our partnership with Woolf (MFHEA-licensed), which are recognised internationally, and ADMI is registered with TVETA in Kenya. Those credits can count towards further study.
Will my child realistically find work afterwards?+
Nothing in education is a guarantee, but ADMI is built to give students the best possible start: practical training on professional equipment, a portfolio of real work, and direct connections to Kenya’s creative and digital industries. 88% of graduates are employed within six months of completing their programme.
As a parent, do I stay involved after they enrol?+
Yes. Through the ADMI parents portal you can follow your child’s progress, attendance, fees and key milestones. We believe the people backing a student should stay close to the journey, not be left in the dark after admission.
How much does it cost, and are there payment options?+
ADMI publishes a clear fee schedule. Flexible payment plans are available, along with a limited number of partial scholarships each intake based on financial need and merit. Our admissions team will talk you through the numbers openly.
My child missed a KUCCPS placement. Can they still join?+
Absolutely. ADMI admits students directly on their own merit, so no KUCCPS placement is required. The September 2026 intake begins on 14 September, and a January 2027 intake is also open.

Give them a strong next step.

Whether they are ready to apply or just starting to explore, ADMI's September 2026 intake is open, and our team is here to help you decide with confidence.
