Africa Digital Media Institute (ADMI) marked a major milestone with the 10th Annual Graduation Ceremony, celebrating a decade of training creative professionals across Africa and beyond. The ceremony brought together graduates, faculty, alumni, leadership, and invited guests to honour the achievements of students completing diploma and certificate programmes across multiple creative disciplines.

The graduation programme commenced with the arrival of guests and graduands, followed by the academic procession and the National Anthem. The Head of School, Ms. Carolyne Sila, formally constituted the congregation, setting the stage for a ceremony that reflected both academic excellence and creative expression.

Throughout the morning, graduates heard goodwill messages from alumni, faculty, and student leadership. Mr. Brian Koome Muthuri delivered the alumni goodwill message, while Mr. Vincent Kiboi Nthigah, the valedictorian, addressed the graduating class, reflecting on the journey of learning and growth. Faculty goodwill remarks were delivered by Mr. Samuel Mungai, alongside remarks from former Student Council President Mr. Davis Kiplang’at Rono .

The ceremony also featured musical interludes by the ADMI Student Band, underscoring the institute’s emphasis on creative expression alongside academic achievement. Later in the programme, the ADMI Board Chair, Dr. Laila Macharia, addressed the graduates, followed by remarks from the Guest of Honour, Mr. Sudi Wandabusi, who spoke to the graduates’ role in shaping the creative economy

A key highlight of the ceremony was the award of diplomas and certificates, recognising graduates across programmes including Film and TV Production, Graphic Design, Sound Engineering, Music Production, Animation and Motion Graphics, Multimedia, Photography, Digital Marketing, Video Game Design, and 2D Animation. Graduates represented a diverse international cohort, with students from Kenya, South Sudan, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Tanzania, and Pakistan .

In addition to academic awards, the ceremony recognised outstanding leadership through the Student Leadership Awards, honouring students who served in the Student Council across multiple academic years. The programme concluded with the Head of School blessing and commissioning the graduates, officially dissolving the congregation and marking the graduates’ transition into the professional creative industry .

As ADMI celebrates its 10th graduation, the institute reaffirms its commitment to nurturing creative talent, fostering industry-aligned skills, and preparing graduates to contribute meaningfully to Africa’s growing creative economy.
